Max Whitney

Max is a technical architect, lead engineer and open community practitioner based in Brooklyn NY. As the manager of New York University’s technical academic infrastructure, Max led technical strategy on the Sakai open source learning management software products. She’s a member of NYC Resistor hackerspace and an O’Reilly author (Sakai OAE, 2012). Max holds her B.A. from Columbia University and her M.S. from New York University’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, with research in Formal Methods at the Software Engineering Group at Oxford University.
