The Ada Lovelace Fellowship was founded in 2013 during the annual Open Hardware Summit at MIT by Summit Chair Addie Wagenknecht and OSHWA Director Alicia Gibbย as a way to support and encourage women and female identifying people in open technology and culture to actively participate at the Summit and foster a more diverse community within open source. The fellowship is made possible by sponsors supporting the Open Hardware Summit and its initiatives.
For the third year, the Summit team is excited to offer up to ten Open Hardware Fellowships to female identifying members of the community which include a $500 travel stipend and a lunch or dinner โdateโ with select speakers and chairs of the Open Hardware Summit and entrance to the Open Hardware Summit. The deadline to apply is July 22nd by 12pm Eastern. Recipients will be notified by email prior to August 1st.
